Why ACT* Prep Chicago?
We take a very thorough approach to learning. We designate time for questions on homework assigned and we extensively review every practice test that students take. Why continue to give multiple tests if students aren't able to review their mistakes? We train our students to know precisely their mistakes on every question they get wrong. We prioritize quality over quantity but value the importance of both and encourage our students to practice as much as possible through classwork and homework.
Our instructors have taught ACT prep for multiple years in one-on-one and classroom settings. They are trained to provide ACT specific strategies, build content knowledge, motivate work ethic, increase testing efficiency and bolster confidence. At times, implementation of testing strategies alone has increased student subject scores, particularly the Science section.
Our 6 Step Plan for ACT Success
1) Enroll in our small class instruction. It's an inexpensive way to get an introduction to the ACT, learn some basic skills and strategies.
2) Take a practice test to see how you have improved and areas where you need further improvement.
3) Take our 2nd level of classes that reinforces and helps students master the skills and strategies needed for success on the ACT.
4) Sign up for a national ACT testing date to try out your newly acquired skills and strategies and get a better feel for the best way to continue your ACT preparation.
5) Obtain 1-on-1 tutoring to spend all of your remaining prep time working on your specific areas of need.
6) Sign up for another national ACT testing date and score your best!!!
*Classes are great but are taught for the majority of students so there are times when the class will cover material that you have already mastered. Furthermore, most classes focus on students mastering basic material. If you want to get higher scores, you also have to master difficult skills in which 1-on-1 instruction can be very helpful.
*We suggest 1-on1 tutoring throughout the whole 6 step process. The ideal situation occurs when students are able to have 1-on-1 tutoring simultaneously with their class instruction. However, this is not an option for all families thus the value of the 6 step plan, allowing students to prep one method at a time. The 6 step plan works extremely well with sophomores and juniors since it takes a lot of time and effort to score really high on the ACT and an earlier start ensures the proper preparation time.
